genesis project214

our food policy is simple:

restore to humanity the basic rights of food, shelter, and safety. only then can we truly begin to untap the possibilites of this thing we call life.

The Genesis Project214 grew out of a gap in the access to healthy, nutritious, locally grown food and the presence of community local corner stores. Our goal is to empower community members through training, education, and awareness in the following areas:

*A clearer understanding of social, political, and economic factors impacting their lives.

*Strengthen the awareness of the power of one vote

*Solving the local food desert challenge by organizing and building a local natural food cooperative.

*Introducing youth and young adults to careers in the Agribusiness industry

*Teaching basic micro-business skills for those interested in selling their product at the local Urban growers & artisan market.

*Self-determination by self-help, diminishing dependence on government programs.

*Provide technical assistance through partnerships with local and regional companies.

*Mentorship through discipleship - empowering the community, one person at a time.
